Allston Trading Scholarships for Computer Science Students 2007-2008

The Department of Computer Science is pleased to announce Allston Trading Scholarships for Computer Science students for the year 2007-2008.
Allston Trading LLC, Chicago has provided a sum of $5,000 for undergraduate student scholarships. In addition, Allston Trading and the
Graduate School have contributed a total of $10,000 in scholarships for graduate studentsin our department. Allston Trading, LLC is a
proprietary trading firm that develops and runs fully automated algorithms to trade worldwide financial markets. Visit their website


All meritorious undergraduates who belong to one of the following majors and with a minimum of Junior level standing and any meritorious graduate student can apply.

BS: Computer Science
BS: Software Development
BS: Communication Networks and Security
BS: Information Technology
BS: Math and Computer Science
BS:Physics and Computer Science
MS: Software Technology
MS: Information Technology
MS: Scientific and Technical Computing
BS/MS Computer Science Dual Degree student

The successful applicants are expected to have an interest in algorithms and software development. The department will screen candidates based on merit, background, and their statement of interest. Award decisions will be made in late November.
